Intercultural Management Semester

A real intercultural semester

The IMS semester takes the participants though Asia and the United States, bringing them classroom training, professional exposure to intercultural management, and the opportunity to act as international representatives of companies looking to expand globally.
For five months, from February to June, the IMS students, organized in teams, will experience complete professional immersion in the United States and Asia.

Combining university lectures, seminars with guest speakers, and company visits, the IMS also allows each student to become the international representative of a company seeking new markets in Asia and the United States.

Serge Guarino, Director of the IMS Program:
“What impresses me the most during our stay in Asia and the United States, is the immense maturity of my students and especially their intellectual curiosity when faced with their new reality: high level guest speakers, street performances, meetings and debates with Chinese, Vietnamese, and American students. Most students do not have the opportunity very often to sit down and chat with the French Ambassador, the Director of Carrefour, a professor of a Chinese university, a CEO of a major Vietnamese company, or the owner of an American start-up... And for a lot of our students, the “adventure” really starts with the company trade mission they complete during the semester, which can help them pay for up to the entire cost of the program…they are already actors in “international business” because a French company has mandated them to complete an international market study, for example. What a wonderful experience! What a wonderful way to learn about business! The IMS is the “practical” approach to learning international business on 2 continents, Asia and the USA."
