Study abroad
According to statistics, two million students study abroad every year. Out of these two million, 30% choose to study in the United States, and that is not just a coincidence. The advantages of a totally international experience are undeniable. More and more, globalization is in the spotlight. Markets, suppliers, brands, clients…everyone is “going global”. New communication technology (Internet, satellites) is developing rapidly and contributes to the accelerated growth of globalization. One direct consequence of this globalization phenomenon is the growing number of multinational firms.
Recruiters for multinational companies are "hunting" across borders for people who speak several languages. Mastering just English is no longer enough to get the job. It has become necessary today to master several foreign languages and to have a multinational, and hence multicultural, view of the professional environment.
A Major Asset
Language abilities have become as indispensable as technical skills in today’s work place. An international résumé will have a stronger impact on a recruiter. International experience, in all fields, is necessary to enter most companies. For recruiters, a study abroad experience shows open-mindedness, a capacity for adaptation to another culture, an ability to really listen to others, and a sense of responsibility and self-reliance.

What could be more beneficial for a young person than to discover new cultures and traditions and to have the opportunity to meet new people? This type of experience allows for real personal growth and enrichment.
