Since its beginning,
CEFAM has always offered its students, faculty, and
corporate partners a learning environment dedicated to academic excellence, self-sufficiency, interpersonal exchanges, improved productivity, humanism, and discovery.
In keeping with these values, and to better accompany all its stakeholders in their successes, CEFAM has joined the ultra-modern campus of the René Cassin international professional university in Lyon, established in 2004.
The campus is made up of different schools and training centers that share common values and have chosen to combine resources.
CEFAM’s students, faculty, and corporate partners benefit from a cutting edge academic environment that includes amphitheaters for 40 to 300 people, individual study booths, computer labs and hook-ups, a wireless campus, professional equipment, a cafeteria, lounge areas, and a library and research facility.
CEFAM students have access to research and work facilities, notably data bases which are available to them for company research and give them immediate access to hundreds of documents and articles.
The CEFAM learning platform, the e.campus, is accessible to all students, faculty, and administration on campus or from home thanks to personalized secure access codes and is the place to publish and find information, course syllabi, content, and calendars, pertinent documents, e-mail exchanges, etc….
All the facilities and services offered on campus enhance the spirit of exchange and cooperation for improved communication and learning.
Classrooms and Amphitheaters
In all, there are 120 classrooms on campus; each with a different size and set-up to better accommodate the needs of various student groups.
The main amphitheater, which seats 295 people, is used for large lectures and conferences. Many small study rooms, seating from 6 to 12 students, are located throughout the building and used mainly for group work. Even the larger amphitheaters, designed to accommodate 60 to 80 students, contribute to the group learning environment offered on campus. These amphitheaters, inspired by those found on American campuses, contain pivoting seats which allow smaller, individual groups to work independently of their peers without leaving the room.
The Library
Containing over 4000 works and 135 magazines and journals, the René Cassin Library is first and foremost dedicated to knowledge, to social sciences, management, business, and the professional environment. Thanks to subscriptions to many French, European, and international data bases, our students are able to capitalize on concrete, up to date information. This unique facility ensures the most current and accurate business development information while providing the campus with a quiet work environment at the same time. One of the library’s unusual features is the wealth of corporate case studies it contains. Made up of reports, industry studies, and dissertations, these documents are precious resources for both our future professionals and corporate partners.
Through the library, students have access by internet to Cyberlibris, an on-line virtual library containing close to 4000 works in digital format. The majority of the books are in the fields of business, marketing, and management techniques, and over two thirds of them are in English.
Information Technology
With over 700 high speed computer work stations and terminals available to students throughout the building, our campus is in line with today’s information and communication technology.
Permanent video projectors and computer work stations for the instructor, installed in 51 classrooms, allow professors immediate access to their course materials with a simple memory stick. In addition, the campus is wireless and internet stations have been placed strategically throughout the building for convenient student access.
The campus IT department oversees the 40 some servers and works closely with the administration, professors, and students to ensure the optimal efficiency. Each student benefits from personalized, secure memory space on the campus server.
The Cafeteria
Located on the ground floor, the campus cafeteria is a real advantage for our students, professors, and administration. The cafeteria is run by Avenance, a professional in the fast food industry. The cafeteria is open from Monday through Friday with opening hours that correspond to student schedules. For our students, it has become the place to meet before and after class, especially given the 20 internet terminals that have been installed to provide quick access to e-mail.
