International Recognition

The role of an international business school today is one of providing exposure - giving students the opportunity to experience other cultures and the ability to adapt to different environments.
CEFAM students, faculty, partner universities, corporate partners, and, of course, alumni come from the four corners of the world and live and work throughout the five continents. Their lives are international and a source of constant enrichment; for each, CEFAM is an "open Sesame" to the international context.
This opening to the world reflects corporate life in today's international environment where the ability to work in multicultural teams is a definite asset.

AACSB Accreditation: the highest level of international recognition for business programs

The AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), founded in 1916, is the most reputable accrediting body for business programs in the United States and the world. This non-governmental association's goal is to award a certification of quality to the best business programs offered worldwide in the form of an accreditation. The AACSB is generally considered as the most prestigious organization of accreditation of teaching establishments in management (universities and business schools). The evaluation of the schools is based on several criteria, and notably on the process of student recruitment, the academic level of the teachers, and the pedagogical methodologies used. Very much sought after by schools and businesses, the AACSB accreditation is recognized as a symbol of academic and professional excellence and represents only 3% of the business programs in the world. According to a University of Shanghai study establishing the ranking of the 500 best universities in the world, based on the number of Nobel prizes obtained and the quality of their published articles in academic reviews, 17 of the 20 top universities are American ; out of the top 100 best universities, 51 are American and 3 are French. CEFAM is not AACSB accredited but all of our American partner universities are accredited. So all CEFAM students can get a AACSB accredited diplôma.

CEFAM is a member of the AACSB: Our membership indicates our commitment to increasing the international exposure of our programs and to reinforcing the visibility of CEFAM and our academic and institutional peers. Over the past few years, the best business and management schools in France have applied for accreditation; roughly a dozen of France's most prestigious schools have been successful in obtaining it.

EAIE - European Association for International Education

CEFAM is a member of EAIE, a non- profit organization whose objective is to bring together over 1800 professionals working in the field of international education. The EAIE helps to create an environment favorable to exchange and mobility. To facilitate this process, the EAIE focuses its work on the professional training and interaction among its members by organizing conferences, professional seminars, and workshops.

French Governemental Certification

Since 1997, the CEFAM program in France has been officially recognized by the French Government as a Level II program. During the summer of 2006, this official recognition became certification as the CEFAM degree was registered at the RNCP (National Repertory of Professional Certifications) as Level II. Publication in the Official Journal of August 24th 2006: "Responsable à l'international, marchés et management (code NSF 310m)".

This certification gives true recognition to the degree. In reference to the levels defined by the French National Education system, Level II is equivalent to the fourth year of a higher education degree. Certification is bestowed after a rigorous procedure that examines notably the situation of the holders of the title in relation to the employment held.

ECTS and the ERASMUS Charter

Since its creation, CEFAM has adopted a modular organization for its programs. With the validation of each course module, students obtain a volume of "credits". This academic organization allows for the transfer of CEFAM coursework and the obtained grades to the partner university chosen by the student.

In Europe, the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) aims to promote the mobility of students and professors. CEFAM has undertaken the presentation process of its program in accordance with the specifications of the European Union for the ECTS.

CEFAM is a 2007 recipient of the university charter of ERASMUS. This certification allows students to have access to ERASMUS activities and events and to benefit from academic, professional, and financial support at the European level.
